Where are you from?

First off, i do love this movie and Dennis Hopper is probably my favorite actor, simply liking Hopper and his work is what made me seek out this film. Anyway, i am from Canton OHio, and i still currently live here. Its funy i dont know about Oregon, but i can truly tell you that people liek this DO in fact exist, especially in my area. Canton is a very blue collar town, its the home of the Timken Steel plant, and there are a few Oil refineries here. Alot of truckers pas through. Another thing i wanted to bring up, is the simple fact that Linda Manz, much later appeared in another White trash/redneck type of film called Gummo, not sure if youv seen that but, if you have, its extremely disturbing and alot of the "actors" in the film are just regular real people. If you have seen it, i can also confirm that people liek that DO EXIST, in some very *beep* areas around here, there are some very scary folks. Theyr everywhere really, all across America, but im just speaking from what i know and have seen here, not to mention that particular film takes place in Xenia, Ohio although it wasnt shot there, ive been to Xenia and its pretty much like my town, small, somehwat dingy in areas, greay skys, etc. As for a target audience, knowing Dennis Hopper, i think he simply just wanted to create a piece of art, that represnted a certain, time and type of culture, we all know Hopper "gets around" and definatley got aorund back in those days, im sure he met all sorts of very interesting and probaly alot of dark characters wether they were real people or even certain parts of himself, and i think thats what he did here was just explore that no hope , anti social, stark gray sadness that some people endure and live with. Anyway, thats my two cents. I like your signature by the way haha, im about an hour outside of Cleveland.
