Don't Skip this Bomb it's Good

This movie is Great for what it is A GET SMART movie with the original Don Adams. To all the naysayers phooie on you. The only downside is Barbara Feldon was not in it but Don Adams did such a good job of reprising his role a fan of the series can over look this. I don't get the haters of this movie. You must be part of the Neo-con movement and can't handle the humor it pokes at the stupid CIA, war and bomb lovers.

The best scene in this movie is near the end. Agent 22 (Andrea Howard) has been stunned, can't feel her legs. Max tries to pick her up (movie cliche-unconscious woman manages to help support her weight-arms around neck) but can barely get her off the ground. After lifting, dragging, pushing, the exhaused Max says: "If I let you down, can you walk?" she: "If you let me down I will dance!" Andrea Howard should have been a major star. I don't know where she went.

YES, it's a pretty good movie, especially for people who were fans of the original TV weekly GET SMART. It's a LOT BETTER than the recent movie remake.

Completely agree! I was just so pleasantly surprised at how much fun I was having while watching this. BTW, if my math is correct, Don Adams was in his late fifties in this movie and he doesn't look a day over a forty two year old in great shape!

Don hated this movie. He only did it because he was contractually obligated.

nothing funny, except the Shoe Phone part in the beginning and driving a desk.

I just finished watching it, it's very entertaining.

Those who haven't seen it who are enticed to see it, but are having a tough time deciding whether or not due to the negative reviews on the film, here's my bit of advice:

Just go with it, and accept it for what it is: a "Get Smart!" movie. It's a harmless piece of fluff that does entertain for 93 minutes. You could watch much worse stuff than The Nude Bomb.

B.T.W. I still think the clone fight is cool, nearly thirty years later....

***and as always, that's just my opinion, others may vary***

Agreed.

If a person likes comedies along the same vein as the Pink Panther, Austin Powers, etc. that pokes fun at the super spy genre, then this film should be right up their alley.

Having watched it again recently on cable I was pleasantly surprised at how entertainingly funny this movie was. Don and the rest of the cast are great in their respective roles and the dialog can be pretty funny at times.

As someone already mentioned some of the funniest scenes are the desk driving down the street moment and towards the end of the film with Smart squaring off against the main villain. Their attemtps to over power each other with an army of their own clones is hilarious.

Very underrated film.

I never watched the TV series but I just got this off Netflix and thought it was pretty funny.
