My take on the Nude Bomb

I just watched it last night. I recently acquired a large collection of laserdiscs and this was in the lot. Having never seen it, but a big Get Smart fan, I took a chance. While I liked it, I can see where people had issues with it.
If someone watches it without thinking of the original Get Smart tv series, then I think one could enjoy it for itself.
It did have a couple characters that were the same as the Get Smart series, but nothing made sense. I understand that Edward Platt had died about 6 years prior, so he couldn't have appeared. It would have been nice if they at least would have mentioned the original Chief(like in Get Smart Again, the Movie). They also didn't have Agent 99 or even mention her. I can understand that she might be away on a different assignment, but she was married to Max. He should have at least mentioned her. Instead they act like Max is single and never been married.
If you go into this movie, thinking it is going to be a continuation of the original, you will probably be disappointed.
However if you go into this movie not thinking about the original series, I think you will enjoy it.
