Waste of time

I love zombie films and will watch any film with zombies in. I know that they're not going to be the best film in the world but thats what draws me to them. I like to see what can be achieved on a low budget.

When I watched zombie flesh eaters it finished and i had no regret in buying it. The same can not be said after watching this film though.

I've never stopped watching a film halfway but I came mighty close during this.

The acting was terrible, even for a low budget horror movie, and the dubbing was even worse. The 7 people in the house were morons and could have escaped within half an hour and to be honest I would have prefered to watch them drive home. It would have been more entertaining.

The effects were awful although to be fair I was quite impressed with the zombies.

And finally, what the hell was going on with that little kid. He looked the oldest out of everyone and his dialogue was terrible.

If you are thinking of buying this film let me give you a tip... Don't!

I have to agree with you. I, too, will watch almost any zombie film, but I had to struggle to stay with this one. Every zombie pretty much looked the same and I got tired of seeing maggots on every single ghoul's face. The brown and green shifts they wore looked like somebody sewed those babies in about five minutes. All of the hotel guests were apparently sex addicts, and the "little boy" was more frightening than the walking dead. It was stupid and dull and not worth the watch.

i agree i realy heard alot of good things about this movie but when i finally got a copy it was pure crap.

You people have no taste, this film is awesome. Its also the worst film I have ever seen, but I sure laughed my ass off.

reply

I love zombie movies, even home made movies like Meat Market and Bone Sickness. But this... boring, stupid, boring, stupid, boring, boring, boring, stupid...

In fact I'm "watching" it as I write this. 25 minutes till the end...

God, help me to endure this torment. Where I sinned so bad? I promise not to watch horror movies for a week at least. Spare me!

3/10 for the creepy retard who loved his mother so badly.

PS. WTF? They mentioned the Z-word! Posers!

reply

Hahaha!! Same here, dude.

I think there are people who "get it" and those who take these types of films too seriously. Sure, it is not "Dawn of the Dead" or "Zombie" but there are some key components to this particular film that give it that cult status. I mean, come on, you have to admit the little kid played by an adult (yes, it's true he was actually a man) was pretty weird. And the whole subtext of the kid desiring his mother sexually; and while zombies are attacking is a first for film too.

But its all cool, some may not be in for it.
Take care!
Cheers...

reply

I already admitted the "freakness" of the kid, but... I don't mind stupid movies, but I hate BORING movies and this one is very boring.

Not a waste of time:
Burial Ground. 85 mins. of dumb fun.

A waste of time:
The Lord of the Rings. 3+ hours of soul numbing monotony.

Italian zombie movies: priceless.

Better to rest in peace in the warm body of a friend than in the cold ground

reply

Dumb fun are movies like Hard Rock Zombies, Meat Market...

I know another boring Italian zombie movie - Nightmare City. However, after watching Burial Ground now I'm considering it as a masterpiece.

Of course, they have some of the best - City Of The Living Dead, Zombie 2, Cemetery Man and The Beyond, but Burial Ground is definitely not one of them.

The most stupid and boring zombie movie I ever watched is Zombie Bloodbath.

reply

Burial Ground is a film that would fall into the category of unintentional comedy, while Hard Rock Zombies is an intentional comedy. So I don't see the comparison.
Anyone who considers Burial Ground and Nightmare City boring is just hopeless anyways Spaz.

I thought the show Deadliest Catch was about STD's.

reply

These two films you mention and zombi 3 are three of my all time favorites.

reply

I'm worried about you, because you consider these deadly boring movies to be fun. These movies, Burial Ground and Nightmare City, are deliberately called "b-movie cult classics", but there is noting cult or classic about them. B-movies are supposed to be fun, not just lame edwoodian bore fest.

the nights of terror all the way nigaaaaaa!!

I'm not a lady I'm an anthropologist

reply

Ah but I believe it's the NIGTHS of terror. Atleast that's what the PROFESY of the black spider says at the end of the movie. You know it's a great movie when even the closing lines are pure engrish.

A "BORE FEST" sums up every thing about this one!

this movie is great and and the gore effects were outstanding for the time. i bought this as part of the old vipco scream time dvd collection and it is defiantly one of my favourite zombie movies. sure the acting is crap but at least you can laugh about it. this is a proper oldschool Italian zombie film if you dont like it then stick to world war z and the walking dead.

Some may never live, but the crazy never die.
