I know! It was the most hilarious part of the movie. I loved that. "Oh, I'm being chased by a zombie! Well, it can't get any worse! Ouch! Someone left a bear trap lying on the ground!"

reply

An inexplicable plot point so the actress can limp, whine and moan throughout the rest of the movie? God, this movie was outrageously bad, though strangely entertaining.

reply

because this is a low budget Italian zombie flick.

And why is there a pitchfork next to the bear trap? I mean, there's no hay anywhere nearby...

Dudes......come on.........ya gotta give it a little more thought than that. This movie deserves it.

Did you not notice how relatively adept all these zombies were in the use of hand tools of all sorts, such as axes and so forth? Did you also not notice how given they were to the formation of complex social organizations, as was exhibited by the donning of habits and the gathering around a table for communal "prayer?" These zombies (some of them) actually belonged to a cloister of monks and were either actively living those roles as force of habit or more strikingly may have actually acted to deceive the 3(?) characters still alive at this stage of the movie, by posing as monks!

If this was all possible, is it such a stretch to believe that two or more of them could have collaborated in the setting of a bear trap? This was obviously the work of the advanced zombies who co-starred in this movie.

Good question. I had wondered that myself.

reply

The real question is, why don't more people have bear traps randomly placed in their yards?

reply

Thank you namagemo, exactly what i was wondering

I think they really could have worked the whole "traps" thing had someone stepped on a cockroach trap and been wounded by it while being surrounded by zombies. Like the glue would have made them twist their ankle.

I always thought that the zombies placed it there. Afterall, they knew how to throw knives, use a sickle to behead victims, make a battering ram, etc.

No spoilers today!!

LOL!! Good one!

Wow, after 5 years. Much appreciated. :)

Bear trap because of the bear problems around um Rome. You just never saw them because the traps work. Rome would be under constant bear attacks, but thanks to these traps the problem is one you never hear about.
Bear trap in the yard it just adds to the awesomeness that is Burial Ground

The best part is, when I saw these films back then, I never questioned anything. It was all part of the fun.

Why was a bear-trap left out in the garden..... ? Well, the house owners knew they were going to be visited by Peter Bark !

I like that answer.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

'Cause there just is, man! It's nonsensical stuff like this which givers this flick its uniquely lopsided charm.
