Dan Hedaya at his psychotic best

He made a career out of that cold-eyed stare and sense of impending menace. He's a lot of fun as the poker playing 'Nick' (who turns out to be the actual prince of darkness himself!) in the 80's TV episode of The Twilight Zone 'Dealer's Choice', tricking weak-willed gamblers out of their immortal souls during boozy high-stakes card games.

The episode is played for dark laughs, but his performance is genuinely creepy and unsettling; as well as cynical, comical and dryly witty. He uses that evil stare to great predatory effect (as always). Check it out if you've never seen it - well worth tracking down.
