If you hated every minute of it, why did you keep watching?

You apparently don't understand what a B-movie is.

I know you are, but what am I?

reply

You didnt hate it enough to post a comment about it.

Your post is the only crap I smell

Too much rape? I think there was one scene... don't watch I Spit on Your Grave if you couldn't handle this.

I know you are, but what am I?

If you don't like B- movies loaded with rape and violence then what are you doing watching "Mother's Day?" Did you watch "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" because you're freaked out by chainsaws and cannibalism?

Why do people that hate movies post mud slinging messages? If you don't like B- horror movies than don't watch them. And if you don't like a movie then give it a bad vote but don't post insults because what's the point?
Although I would love to see the look on your face when you watch "I Spit on Your Grave."

I saw "Mother's Day" at the theater as part of a double feature with Romero's "Dawn Of The Dead." I absolutely loved "Dawn Of The Dead." I absolutely hated "Mother's Day." It's very rare for me to give a movie I loathed another shot, but I did with "Mother's Day." My second viewing was a very different experience, and I noticed a style and sense of humor I hadn't noticed the first time. Yeah, "Mother's Day" is twisted, sick, disgusting, brutal, and rough, but the movie engrossed me the second time around. The original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is another movie I absolutely hated when I saw it at the theater, but it has become one of my all-time favorites. "Mother's Day" isn't one of my absolute all-time favorites, but I can get in the mood for it the same as I can get in the mood for "Friday The 13 Part II."

Was it recently that you saw Mother's Day in the theater? I think it would be amazing to see it on the big screen... it's one of my favorites.

Hey Brandon,

It was many years ago when I saw "Mother's Day" in the theater. It was sometime in the early 80's. It couldn't have been 1980 when it was originally released, because I was only 14 years old. The film's U.S. distributor, United Film Distribution Company, re-released "Mother's Day" on a double feature with George Romero's "Dawn Of The Dead." I'm guessing that was around 1982.

That's awesome. I got to a lot of horror conventions and last year they passed around a flyer of a special thing that they were doing at a drive in and showing old horror movies all night. Mother's Day was one of them... but, I would have had to drive to another state to see it... I would definitely love to see it on the big screen though.

LOL missed most of it then. How was the satire on consumerism? How was the balance of malicious violence and satirical comedy kept?

You shouldn't talk about the "story" in a picture like this. They are not films about STORIES. You wouldn't say Citizen Kane was crap because it didn't have any CGI dinosaurs would you? Well, maybe you would, you seem pretty stupid.
