Melio's antics

well, that would be me *the gf part, not Melio* and i was thinking of Sands, the character that Johnny Deep plays on Once upon a time in Mexico... he is kinda mean weird but still not yet comparable to Melio..

Those are all good, but my two favorites are:

1. When Melio sees how angry Harold is at Barf playing "Heart & Soul," he smiles evilly and then starts playing the other part of the duet.

2. When Harold looks for the Oreos, sees the bag is gone and looks at Melio, who is chewing. Melio smiles, with cookies all over his teeth and actually offers Harold his own cookies!

When I watch the movie, I have to play these two scenes a few times before proceedings!

Haha no one answered your question, they just quoted lines from Melio. The only example I can think of is Rick Ducommun in The 'burbs, the way he treats Tom Hanks' character is pretty funny. But it's not exactly like Melio, I can't think of anything really similar to that.

Felipe Gomez of Three's Company comes to mind, he was always plotting against Jack, trying to get the Chef job. Another possibility is Muttley (who interestingly enough was based on a character that my cousin played in a movie once) who always laughed at Dick Dastardly's expense.

I absolutely loved this movie, particularly the characters Melio and Harold. I never understood why Andy Tennant or Stephen Furst never continued on as actors (although Andy Tennant has become an accomplished Director).
