Good period feel

I like the re-creation of the late 60s-early 70s period in which the film is set. The cars, the interior decor of the working class houses, the clothes, hair styles and street scenes, all look very authentic. The film was made in 1980 (I remember watching it when it came out at the cinema) and I sometimes think it is more difficult in some ways to re-create ten years ago, rather than much earlier.
