Anybody else think that once McVicar gets his freedom, the film REALLY drags after that? Excellent film until then, then it drastically tails off. Anybody agree? Thanks!

It was a film of two halves and even the prison bit was found wanting when ITV filmed a drama, a sense of freedom that was about the prison life of Jimmy Boyle.
Its that man again!!
Yes I was fine watching it until he escapes then once he gets back home I started to get a bit bored closing my eyes and even drifting off but I'd enjoyed it up to then.
shareIt feels like one continuous film to me. There's the obvious differences between when he's in prison and when he on the outside, but they are products of the settings. Its meant to be like that. I thought the pacing and arc of the film were superb.
