Would love to hear this, does anyone have it...
shareI need to know what is this song, what is playing in club-scene.
It's strong disco groove and female voice sings something about saturday night.
Can't find it:(
Thanks,
Mankiboi
It's called "You are Not the Same" and was written by Fabio Frizzi and Lucio Fulci with vocals by Cricket,it was issued as a 7" 45rpm on the Cinevox label.
shareyes i've seen it on youtube, but i was talking about the disco tracks taken from the sequence in the disco club when they are dancing. do you know if this track is on the 45 rpm?
shareoh yes i 've found it!!
my god thanks!
i suppose this 45" is impossible to find. does "cricket" has sung other disco tracks like this?
many thanks
I too am looking for this Soundtrack.. Necro Sampled the scene were the car is driving off a cliff (if i remember correctly) he used the backround music for "Im Your Idol" - Track 1 off of the "Brutality Part 1" Album..
Is this Physically available? I would assume that a vinyl recording wouldve been released in Italy around the time of the films release.. Im a collector and if somebody has this for sale please post about it. Im willing to drop a couple bucks..
If somebody could RIP the album and post it that would be awesome.. You'd be hooking up ALOT of people!! (at the very least post a track listing)
God damn it the guy that had the theme uploaded on youtube recently removed it...is there any chance someone here grabbed it before he did??
shareFabio Frizzi said in an interview that he has the masters, but the tapes are damaged, and they 'probably won't see a release any time soon'.....UGH...=(

"Sometimes miracles happen. In the case of Contraband it took 35 years! One of the most-wanted scores of Lucio Fulci's filmography, it's not a horror but a crime/action movie, produced during one of the most prolific and creative phases of the director's career.
Fulci created one of his most violent movies, adding Fabio Frizzi to the pentagram and inspiring him to create one of the most iconic scores of his career. On the trail of the recently consolidated canon of the past decade's cop movies, Fulci depicts in his peculiar cinematic language the action, asphalt, chases and violence with melodies of great artistic impact, full of adrenaline and pathos.
A score we feared lost, it was retrieved thanks to the discovery of an unlabelled tape, miraculously restored to perfection and transferred in our studios with love and paternal care. With funky soul and black leather duds, the CD lasts nearly 40 minutes and features liner notes (in Italian and English) by Maestro Frizzi and critic Fabio Babini, mastering by Enrico De Gemini and graphic design by Alessio Iannuzzi."
Excellent news!
