Can somebody help me understand what happened? I guess I wasn't watching closely. How did Martin Sheen's character get out of the vault? I totally missed something ovviously. Thanks in advance.
It's not shown on-screen, but it's pretty clearly explained.
He states to the robbers that he will wait in the vault until the storm has passed, the water will recede and he will walk out eaily.
Cut to ...
a day or two later, he is in the bath at home.
Obviously, his plan worked.
