was a stuntman killed?

a friend of my husband says a stuntman was thrown by his horse and trampled during the filming of the long riders...the scene where they come crashing through some sort of building. i'm not super familiar with the film (not a westerns lover!)but he showed me that scene and it does sort of look that way. is this just a movie legend? i hope so.

Just ignored the previous idiot. IMDb doesn't really care if people act stupid here. I have that user ignored so I don't see anything they say. They could reply to this and I'll never even know. Suits me fine.

As far as I know, I do not believe this to be true, but I'm not an expert on the film. You may already have a fact known about it by now, but just wanted to stop in and give my two cents.

It is my understanding that, as can happen as the stunts get more energetic, that a stuntman was injured.

This is one reason they have stuntmen, lots of stuntmen, medics and sometimes helicopter ambulances.

What definitely died during the filming of the movie were McCorkindale's pigs. This fact was part of the buzz around the initial release. Looking at the sensational final bank robbery, the horses may not have been treated well, either.
