If the 1980 version with Rick(y) Shroeder and Alec Guinness is not available on DVD yet, is it even available on VHS? It was a Hallmark TV version first aired on PBS in 1981. I would love to get a "good" copy of it without all the commercials off air.
Actually, it was not a Hallmark film--it was hosted by IBM. It was available on VHS, and you can get a used copy for exorbitant sums on eBay or Amazon/ I duped my VHS over to DVD and then made a small fortune selling the VHS on eBay.
sharei have actually got 2 copies of the film on dvd. i purchased them on e-bay from a guy in the netherlands. the cover is in italian, and so is film, but also on dvd is the option of putting into english. if its an actual copy, its a good-un
