Anyone else find it funny that they put on a play with song and dance from this and then 2yrs later Kristy McNichol was in "The Pirate Movie" which is a spoof and has the same song...

Yes, I do. I wonder if the producers & director of "Pirates" were inspired by that scene in "Little Darlings" to cast Kristy in their film, or was it just a coincidence?
-BTW, I must admit the only reason I own "Pirates" on DVD is because Kristy is in it. The film was so hokey, cornball, and cheesy that the one time I saw it in the cinema, I was actually embarrassed to be there! It was that bad, IMHO!
