Got A Great Copy On DVD...

this week from iOffer. It's a sharp, letterboxed print, just 95 minutes long, but seemingly uncut, including the Lennon song and all the dialogue related to the virginity issue, and the cost (including shipping) was $8.99. The only thing it doesn't have (which another poster- buyer from iOffer said he'd gotten) is the trailer. No matter!

a beautiful HD widescreen uncut version with all the songs intact is easily found... just google Little Darlings HD. It's been on the bay for a long time now.

I have to get a copy of this.
This movie was part of my childhood.
A classic in my books.

thanks. I did that. Sure enough, there is was.

I've been watching my own DVD I made from a copy I recorded myself of Encore, has all the music intact I believe. I hope this one is better.

I'm getting the 4gig one.

I have the same one. Surprisingly good picture quality, and it does have the trailer (which doesn't look nearly as good)

I had recorded it off TCM a few years back, but it had an annoying hiss throughout the movie, really noticeable during quieter scenes. Not an issue on the dvd, and as you said, all the original songs are there.

Was really impressed with KM's performance; of course she played the tough girl well, but in some of the tender moments she was quite moving.

Recently Warner has brought Paramount catalog titles to Blu-ray. Maybe this will finally get a proper release!

If not Warner Bros., Olive Films also has rights to the Paramount library as well.

Any DVD's of Little Darlings are bootlegs. Copies made from TV broadcast or VHS or Laser Discs. The movie has NEVER been released by the studio on DVD. The original VHS and Laser Disc releases are Pan and Scan and not letterbox, but do contain the original songs. Later VHS release have some music replaced. Yes a HD wide screen version would be great. I like many others believe it all comes down to music rights as to why no official release.
