Nice theme song!

Never seen the film but I have heard online the theme song, called "We could have it All" as performed by Maureen McGovern. Good stuff. One of my favorite Maureen Songs!

~In my ear it blew it's name, it sounded strange, but I heard it plain, Mistral, Mistral Wind. ~

Having seen the movie 3 times the Maureen McGovern song is briefly played in the middle of the film when George Segal and Natalie Wood are playing football alone after all their friends have broken up and then is heard in its entirety over the closing credits.

I like the song as well. And Maureen McGovern could really sing.

For the record, THE LAST MARRIED COUPLE IN AMERICA was released by MCA Home Video back in the 1980s. The retail price used to be $69.99 and it never dropped. That's what it cost me to buy it new in the 1990s. Because the movie was priced so high MCA still had *New* and *Sealed* copies of it left YEARS after it was released.

Now I reckon it's rather hard to find, though I did manage to round up a used copy of it back in 1998 from a video store that was closing. $10 well spent. Never hurts to have a back-up of a movie you like.

I saw it, for FREE, w/o commercials, and UNCUT, recently, on TCM! WOW, Natalie was hot, and always will be!
