Daisuke Ryu

I thought Ryu gave a great performance here. Shame he isn't more famous in the west. Considering his age here (around 22), he really was excellent. And very charismatic too. Maybe a bit too young for the part of Oda Nobunaga, but still a good match. The actor playing Ieyasu Tokugawa was also good, but he only appeared in one scene.

My theory on Feds is that they're like mushrooms: feed them *beep* keep them in the dark.

Ryu became releatively big in Japan for a short period. The Zero Woman series spread his name and he was impressive in the underrated Legend of Sayo. Of course Kurosawa reused him in Ran to good effect.
