Dream Sequence

About 2 hours into the film, the Thief has a dream about the real lord. I found this sequence very haunting--it kept me up for a night, for not only did I find it frightening but the colors were so brilliant Did anyone have this impact from this scene in the film?

reply

I can't say it affected me the same way, but boy was it a remarkable sequence.

Try watching Jacob's Ladder.

I thought all of Jacob's Ladder was a dream sequence. I've only seen it once (about 20 years ago) so maybe I'm misremembering it.

You're correct, it's all a death dream.

It's an interesting sequence, and has a kind of emotional impact. I can't say I was ever scared or frightened of it, but I was convinced that the character was terrified of the spirit of the man he had replaced. It was good stuff.
