Meaning of the kanji?

When the thief breaks open the urn containing the corpse, the camera carefully pans down at the two chunks so the viewer can get a good look at the kanji painted on them. I assume they wouldn't have bothered unless they said something at least somewhat relevant. Anyone know what they say?

First piece says, "lacquered"
The second piece says, "treasure"
