Anton Lavey

If I am correct, in this movie there is nothing about Jayne being a priest of the Church of satan by Anton Lavey.

And that is a pity, knowing the fact that the satanic church was an important part of Jayne's life.

It's even the cause of her death: dutch satanist and direct pupil of Anton Lavey Maarten Lamers has admitted satanists have cursed Jayne when she kept on holding contact with a certain forbidden person.

Directly after she was cursed, she died in a car accident.

reply

It was absolutely NOT an important part of her life and she made fun of Anton La Vey. Everyone from her eldest daughter, her best friend, her secretary have all said she did it as a gimmick. What about Sammy Davis Jr and Mia Farrow, was it an important part of their lives? We all know if it's WRITTEN it MUST be true!

Okay, but this may prove that Lavey and Maarten Lamers didn't think it was funny at all.

They put an official curse on her and she soon died.

So actually, if you take this seriously, one shouldn't just ignore her connections with Lavey, should they?

Well we all know that if it's written it MUST be true!

Yeah, especially when it was in newspapers etc...

for part of Sammy's life it was. it was a part of Jayne's as well. doesn't define either and may have not been a part through the whole of either's life and certainly played no part in either of their demise. But be it a lark she did for some extra press or weather she was really into it , either way it was a part of her life. Enough it still is associated with her name today. To insist otherwise is to willfully deny the truth and be ignorant.

reply

Also, for whatever reasons, Jayne's family prefer to keep her 60s life and her exploits quiet...despite them not being quiet back then.

Dammit Carol Sue, where is the vodka?!

LaVey claimed he had cut a ad out of a newspaper , maybe it was a coupon I forget , and said when he turned it over it was Mansfield with no head as it was cut off with the ad. From that comes a lifetime of crazy rumors that spread and grow much like this one. LaVey's own work The Satanic Bible is very clear on a live and let live idea of life. No where in it does it profess to allow you to cast spell's or curse people. That is more misrepresented crap only in the minds of hollywood producers and stage magician's / con artists.
