Sarah = Nosy Biyatch (SPOILERS)
One of the surreal bits in this film is the cab ride through the rainstorm with Sarah just blithely reading Rose's letter to Mark. Of course, this leads her to investigate Mater Lacremarum's house, and the attack on her in that building's basement, and her death later on in her apartment.
I think it's a bit funny how she just whips out the letter and starts reading like no one's business. Had she minded her own business, she might have survived.
Still, it's things like this that make me love INFERNO. The whole thing is lyrical, surreal, and dream-like. Just as the Goblin score helped SUSPIRIA immensely, so too does Keith Emerson's score for INFERNO. People gripe about how Goblin should have scored. I think Emerson's score is perfect--hypnotic and graceful and reminiscent of Pino Donaggio's score for CARRIE....
