SUSPIRIA,INFERNO or MOTHER OF TEARS??

Which one if the best??

I think that INFERNO is more uneven than SUSPIRIA but INFERNO is more fascinating and crazy than SUSPIRIA!

I can't wait to see MOTHER OF TEARS/LA TERZA MADRE...the early word of mouth from the screenings of last month are rather positive, even if the film seems quite different from SUSPIRIA and INFERNO.

Suspira is a Masterpiece, Inferno isn't far behind but don't get your hopes up for Mother of Tears. it doesn't look or feel anything like the first two. It's OK but a way lower league.

Suspiria is definetly the best!for the story, the colors, the lights..i loved it! Inferno was a few steps lower than Suspiria. And last night i went to the cinema to see La terza madre...oh my God it was really awful! It's very different from the first 2..and i didn't like it at all..i don't wanna anticipate anything because many of u haven't seen it yet but certain scenes were so out of place, so ridiculous..so nonsense..

I Love Argento he is my favorite director and there are I believe brilliant moments in even his lesser films, Including Mother of Tears. None of the films you mentioned are up to the standards of his films made before 1987 but I enjoy them all. I thought his half of Two Evil Eyes was much better then Romero's half. Phantom of the Opera I feel is underrated same goes for Sleepless and The Card Player. Jenifer I thought was the best episode in both seasons of Masters of Horror. As for Mother of Tears, It's OK, in the same league as the films you mentioned but no where near the calibre of the rest of the trilogy.

I like THE STENDHAL SYNDROME (a little masterpiece!),TRAUMA,THE CARD PLAYER (underrated),JENIFER ( a little gem) but i don't like too much PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and SLEEPLESS.

Many people seem to like in MOTHER OF TEARS the opening murder,Asia Argento's chase at the station Termini and also a 4 minutes shot tracking Asia, near the film's ending...
I can't wait to see the film,i'm sure that it is better than PHANTOM and SLEEPLESS and that it is an entertaining ride, even if the film is probably not a masterpiece,of course!

The cinematography and the locations look nice,at least from the clips and trailers i've seen from the film!

I'm glad that Argento (and his DP Frederic Fasno) shot the film in 2:35 widescreen...Argento's early thrillers,OPERA (and even TRAUMA) looked great with their nice use of widescreen cinematography, especially their use of locations, streets, houses, etc!

I haven't seen Mother of Tears but Inferno is easily Argento's best while Suspira is (though pretty good) among his worst. I never bought Suspira and thought it was silly and far too overly cliched (even for an Argento film).

I don't think neither of both Suspiria and Inferno were among Argentos worst... yes they are thrillers, but they're do something more to tell a simple story (mostly Suspiria). Inferno, however, is more structural and, really, beautiful to look at.

I put SUSPIRIA among my faves because is more "personal", and it's more grisly and creepy looking than anything of his other films.

But in essence, both are a same concept. They're pretty similar.

For Mother of Tears I don't really care for it. It's something of a "modern" take of the other two.

Inferno is completely boring trash compared to Suspiria and Mother of Tears.
The whole movie is just pointless scenes of girls walking through blue and red lit stages.
BORING.
The other two were captivating.
Argento failed with Inferno.

I think Inferno is better than Suspiria. Inferno is much more artistic and surreal. Both films share the beautiful rich colours, dynamic camera work, imaginative set pieces and music that Argento was famous for. I thought Mother of Tears was crap though, it's a rather generic horror film compared to the classics like Suspiria, Tenebre, Inferno and Deep Red.

Yes.

Suspiria is my all time favorite horror movie, so my favorite of the three is Suspiria. I love Inferno as well. However, I hate Mother of Tears, and I try to think it was never made. Honestly, how can Argento go from Suspiria to this?

The theater is like a faithful wife. The film is the great adventure, the costly, exacting mistress

Its hard. The "dream" like quality is what attracted me to both, and I think that that feeling is thicker in Suspiria but not necessarily "stronger." The reason I say that is its a little more obvious in Suspiria. That feeling isn't as obvious in Inferno and there may not be as much of it, but it feels stronger in a way. I'll also admit that when its not playing over the voices and getting really loud, the music in Suspiria was actually a little creepy. It always sounded to me like those voices where coming from the walls at the softer moments.

I think I liked Inferno more. It was a bit harder to follow, but it was a bit more surreal in a sense, plus I think that the plot involved me a bit more. I found the 3 Mothers concept interesting, and I also loved the bit when Matre Tenebraum points out that they are a representation of death itself. That got points for being kinda cool.

I like Suspiria the best!

Mother of tears is awful and he should never have made a trilogy. When you watch this film you can't help compare it to Suspiria and Inferno. Dario Argento hasn't made a real great film since Opera back in 1987! I still love his work (well early work) but i've never known the drop in a directors quality like the drop of Dario Argentos! If you don't believe me watch Suspiria back to back with Giallo (His latest film)
