Does the series deserve a prequel?

This year, I'm reviewing my 31 favorite horror movie sequels every day of October. And of course, I'm including Inferno. Full review here: http://myvinylmuse.com/horror-sequel-marathon-inferno-1980/

Argento has hinted at the idea of making a prequel to the 3 Mothers trilogy. While I really enjoy the first two entries, I'm not sure if I feel like it deserves a prequel. Any thoughts?

The Mothers went down too easy I thought and seemed pretty vulnerable all things considered. Maybe a prequel showing them in their prime and why they were so feared and powerful.

I would love a prequel that shows the three mothers in the prime and how they got their power. Would be cool to see all three of them together too.
