MGM please remaster the DVD!

I recently picked up the dvd to get rid of my old Laser Disc, but only to find out that the dvd is scaneed and missing the audio commentary by director Taylor Hackford. The Laser is 1.85:1, DD5.1, and has a commentary. So now I have to hold on the the old disc. Anyone aware of MGM redoing the dvd soon. I find the film to be a little gem of the 80's.
