Your first time seeing this??

As a kid with my family we went over a friend of my parents house.
This movie was on in the background while my parents were talking. As I was watching it the friend had their CD sound system on and Blondie's "The Tide Is High" was playing. Crazy coincidence. I was more into the gore and nudity over the music.

I first saw this film when I rented it on VHS from a local mom'n'pop rental outlet in the 80's circa 1982 or 1983. Moreover, I actually owned the old Warner Brothers VHS tape of this movie in an oversized cardboard box back in the mid 90's.

Far out! I just got it on DVD. Haven't seen it since it was on Cinemax in 1982 or so.

I still really dig it. They don't make'm like that anymore.

Cheers...

Just saw this for the first time. Opening sequence reminded me of Splatter Beach lol.. Though I sure John and Mark Polonia ripped off this movie since it's an homage.

I liked it. lotsa gore, boobies, seamonsters, rednecks and cheese.

saw the trailer, and did the woman say that "these creatures are driven to mate with man now?" I thought they raped the woman, not the man. help.

'man' as in humans/humankind ;)

My Mom ordered this in the mail when I was around 7 or 8. Loved it ever since; boobies, bloody gore and sea monsters! Hell yeah! I happily own the new DVD from Shout Factory under the "Monster" title. It has a moment of extra gore in the carnival massacre.

I saw this some summer about 10 years ago on tv. I finally found out what it was called and gave it a rewatch and it was AMAZING! One of the greatest movies I've ever seen, and I'm not even kidding.

OK, I am the senior statesman here. I saw this in the movie theater when I was 14. Never forgot it. Soooo many boobs for a 14 year old to see.

I saw it when I was in college at the local drive in. The drive in was packed, so it had a pretty good reception where I was.

saw it either at a drive in, or theater in early 80's... loved it!

Can't believe I missed this one on video tape back in the '80s! I watched it just today for the first time on Netflicks, and I loved it! This one has everything a sci-fi/horror fan could ask for and then some - so over the top, but well-made, and filmed on location in a real northern california town! Gonna have to buy me a copy of this one.

I was a kid in the early 80's and I saw part of this on cable TV. I catched the scene with the naked woman and the guy with the dummy. When I saw the monster, I was scared, but intrigued.
Back then, my parents didn't have the rating system set on channels, so I occasionally saw lots of nudity by accident.
