Jane Curtin's striptease - body double??

While watching this I got the impression that a body double was used for Jane Curtin's striptease scene. Can anyone confirm this?

reply

No, it was really her. I've heard her mention it in interviews from the past.

reply

Interesting ... I was suspicious because you don't see her face in any of the "body" shots as I recall.

reply

I was just now watching that scene on "Love stories" channel and was thinking the same thing...I don't think it's her!

reply

I don't know that it's her when they do the close up of her bare breasts, but I think in other stages of undress it's her.
Jane Curtain is very hot in that scene by the way.

my experience is exactly the same. saw it as a youngster, only remembered the money and the boobies.

My bet is that the bare breasts belong to someone else since you do not see them and Jane's face in the same fram, ever. Too bad.

reply

According to Mr. Skin it is indeed a body double. That is why her breasts and face are not in the same shot.

reply

Thought so :}:)

reply

Yes, they used a body double.

reply

It's unfortunate she felt the need to use a body double, she definitely didnt need one!

I watched this movie this morning on RetroPlex. I remember a friend described the movie to me when we were in high school (1991). He had seen it on a local TV station. He said it starred "Kate and Allie" and involved some kind of plot to steal money. He said when Jane Curtain took her top off, the TV station showed the breasts un-edited. All of the sudden, the screen goes to a test pattern and this confused voice comes on and says "Uhh...we're experiencing...technical difficulties...uh...please stand by..." Five minutes later, the movie starts up again a few seconds before the bra comes off, now her breasts are edited out.

For such a tight close-up of boobs, the Tivo Guide did not mention nudity at all(?!?)

Ah, the early '80s, when you could have nudity and drug use and still get a PG...

Where can I get these: http://imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=31677687

It was pretty obvious if you looked at the scene. Not only did you not see her face and body at the same time, you can see major differences. Curtin's actual skin around her shoulders and neck is heavily freckled, as seen later on when she's in the towel on the shore. The double has no freckles at all. Her real upper arms also have some noticeable flab, like most women but unlike the double.

For sure. That shot has INSERT all over it.
