When Kendig charters the seaplane, he says that the only passengers would be himself and a woman. When he arrives at the dock, the lady pilot asks him where his friend his. Kendig replies something to the effect, 'her mother wouldn't allow her to come.'
Who was this woman supposed to be? Not Isabella, who was in Austria.

Since she was obviously a transporter contractor others in the community would probably know to look for her as she does this sort of thing for money - remember she said "since I don't know what your cargo is the price will be $3,000". They prefer a plausible false cover story then one that causes them to loose money, freedom, and future business.
