Richard Moore the seaplane pilot?

We were discussing this role on another site, and have a question. In the main scene where there is a seaplane, it is flown by Carla (played by Lucy Saroyan, Matthau's daughter in law). But Richard Moore is listed as "seaplane pilot". Was there another scene with a seaplane? Thanks.

She was acting. He was flying. I don't know if she was a pilot. No, the landing, docking, pickup, takeoff and flight to the Bahamas was the only seaplane sequence.

What I had in mind was boxing the compass.

We thought of that, but Moore doesn't seem to be a pilot, simply an actor. He has dozens of roles, no other ones as a pilot.

I suspect you've merely stumbled upon a same-name.

Very likely She was an actor and they show her in a cockpit talking to Kendig. When the plane is flying, it is this Richard Moore...NOT the actor...but some guy by the same name that DOES know how to fly a seaplane.

my god its full of stars

I think what they may be referring to is the first sea plane pilot Miles spoke with.

He told Miles he couldn't fly on the day that he needed but could get him in touch with another pilot, Carla.
