Spoilers: New Plot

I recently watch"Hopscotch" again and it still holds up as a great action comedy.But,there was a remark that Kendig made on how Myerson got to be promoted.Myerson had blackmail files on so many people, like J. Edgar Hoover, and used them to advance his career.The old plot,memoirs on CIA dirty tricks,is still great yet I would have love to see Kendig stealing Myerson's files to force a cat and mouse chase between the these two.Also,there were counterintelligence sections in the FBI,CIA,DIA,&NSA that could pursue Kendig and Myerson to prevent compromising gov't officials by these files.The chase would be limited to the U.S.but I could see Kendig in Hawaii,New York,and the Caribbean.Kendig could use the Counterintelligence units to take down Myerson's network of contacts while Myerson hunts down Kendig.I would keep a lot of Matheau's tricks-Paper clip on electric plug,using Myerson's house as a hideaway-plus a new movie tagline-This Man is going to outsmart the entire U.S. Intelligence Community while touring the U.S.A.The Gov't agencies would destroy Myerson's empire,clean out the officials,and take some lumps while Kendig would be sitting somewhere with Isobel,drinking a great wine,and listening to classical music.
