Daniel Day-Lewis?!!

When Glenda Jackson takes a call from Walter Matthau in the tea-shop (he's calling from London) and we don't actually hear the conversation but see her, through the glass panes in the door, speaking on the phone, there is someone outside watching her (presumably yet another CIA spook); he is only shown for a few moments, and he doesn't say, or even subsequently do, anything, but it looked very like a young Daniel Day-Lewis! No mention of him, even as an uncredited. Anyone else spot this, or know if it was him?

I thought the exact same thing myself when I saw this movie last night! I don't think it's him though. the character appears in another scence when he's being relieved by the bald agent (who then gets called into Glenda Jackson's house). When the character gets releived, he speaks in an American accent (which could be dubbed, I suppose). I still don't think it's DDL because if it is him, he looks much older in Hopscotch then he does in A Room with A View which came out, what, 7 years later?
