DVD release???

Hopefully Warners will eventually put this out on DVD in the States. Anyone know if there is a Korean or Hong Kong DVD out there? They seem to put all sorts of things out before the West.

This has been neglected and forgotton during the days of DVD. But with Blu-Ray etc coming out hopefully it will be released then and as the set designs, cinematography and wardrobe were fantastic to look at, on the screen, just imagine the colours and textures in Hi Def. But I'd love a DVD now. I have this on Betamax!!!

Hi there.
I've seen this movie a couple of times on cinemax, so I guess there must be a digitalized version of this wonderful movie... and you can also find the VHS on amazon, although is not the best format.
Regards.

This is indeed a great film, and I would love to see a letterboxed (1:85-1) DVD of it. It was never released on laserdisc, so that partly explains why there aren't any Hong Kong copies of it floating around. With Nick Nolte, Sissy Spacek and John Heard as the leads, this should be considered to be a marketable product.

Warner is releasing another literary gem, THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER, in January of 2008, so there is always hope.

Well 30 years is long enough! It won't be done but this film would be brill on Blu-ray
