Its on the coming soon section on play.com and in dvd review magazine but as i said no details on extras.Lets hope its got some good extras and good transfer.Even better would be the soundtrack in 5.1.I can but hope.

Network have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Hawk the Slayer (Special Edition) for 19th February 2007 priced at £14.99. A story of two brothers locked in mortal combat, Hawk the Slayer is a cult classic and still a student favourite nearly 30 years after its original release. Described as the ultimate British ‘B’-movie this exciting and enthralling fantasy movie was co-written and directed by Terry Marcel (Dark Knight, The Bill) and produced by Harry Robertson (Countess Dracula, Twins of Evil), who also composed the 80’s keyboard soundtrack.

Just picked up the special edition and its excellent. Some great behind the scenes stuff on the extras! :)

Keep in mind (in case you don't already know this) that region 1 discs will play on most computer DVD players. This is what I use with VLC player and it works fine. You just have to have a computer monitor big enough to make it worthwile.
