i saw hawk the slayer in the 80's, back when i played D&D, and i'm a huge LOST fan now, and i just found out here at imdb that john terry, the guy who plays jack's dad (dr. christian shephard) on LOST also played hawk.
that's hilarious!
now i need to get the dvd and watch it again. i remember it being terrible but hilariously fun.
Good grief, I heard this on the Mondo Movie podcast and nearly crashed the car. I just had to come here and see if it was true. That it is, just makes it even funnier.
We all have to start somewhere I guess. I mean, what's better, Hawk the Slayer as Jack's dad, or Jim Robinson from "Neighbours" as "the bad guy".

Just found this out today as well. Didn't know that Christian Sheperd was Hawk the Slayer. Didn't know he was Nigel Terry's brothers either. Learned so much today. Excalibur is one of my favorite movies, probably the best adaption of King Arthur's tale on film to date.
