Inside the freaky UFO

I saw this on TV as a kid. Oddly enough, I also saw it on a KTMA episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I didn't remember much of it.

But what stuck out inside me was the discovery inside the UFO. I remember there was a big screen TV and a black wall with buttons. The buttons were laid out in a grid, each with funky symbols.

Anyways, someone presses a button, and we get to watch an alien-language movie that shows stock footage of factories. The alien voice sounds like a cylon muttering gibberish("ooogo plah" I remember). I thought that was neat.

I saw Laserblast a week ago, and coudln't help notice the commonality of the H18 UFO and the aliens UFO in Laserblast. Same Special FX guy.

I only saw it only once when it first came out in theaters.

The inside of the craft had Egyptian hieroglyphs and "Night Stalker" had a computer decyphering the glyphs, and was able to tell the aliens were returning back to earth. About that time the bomb laidened Leer jet crashes into the hanger.

The alien language is actually Swahili sentences taken from a phrase-book. Really lazy bit of scripting, it would have been better to use real gibberish!

I`m curious as to how you know this. Do you know Swahili? Because now I want to know what they are saying.

Yes, the alien language is Swahili run through some 'cylon' vocoder.

I think this is the only movie that show the entire UFO inside. If I'm not wrong, they show the engine room, next a kind of closet with a space suit, a medical room (where the vile broke and the gas killed the aliens, the woman inside the glass and a armadillo inside a curve glass), the wall with symbols and a screen with a transparent seat, and the top deck (the cockpit).
Oh and the elevator, step on the white spot and it will go up, pretty neat.
