Finally, Official Release.

June 25, 2013 Blu-ray and DVD from Olive Pictures(Never heard of em). Someone on this forum said Netfix had it for a while a few years ago. I never saw an official release.

No mention of any bonus material.

Finally, this gets a release. It's about time!

Olive Pictures released "The Boogens" last year, so this isn't a surprise(Same Director, James L. Conway, who will provide commentary.)

I remember mentioning this to you -rp69 on "The Twilight Zone" board a few months ago.(You asked about "This Island Earth")

Yeah, I remember that post. I was trying to remember the two engineers working for a mystery group, and the daily parts deliveries.

Wow! you remembered the context of my post, and my screen name? That's freaky! A memory like that makes a good party trick. I have a hard time recalling people's names five minutes after they tell me.

What did we discuss about Hangar 18? I don't remember that part. There are three or four old 70's and 80's movies I have been waiting for ever to get a good release.

*Hangar 18, Finally coming out.
*Without Warning (1980) Preditor rip-off with Jack Palance and Matin Landau.
*Message From Space. Dubbed Japan Star wars rip-off, Also coming out next month.
*Starship Invasions(1977?) Made for Canadian TV with an American theatrical release.

A couple others that finally came out recently.
Dark Night of the Scarecrow.
Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World.
Corvette Summer.

Thank you for the compliment!

You asked about the possible edited running time of "Hangar 18", but then remembered you saw it off a Russian tape, which plays at a faster speed? Something like that. Now I won't have to look at it on YouTube anymore!

I hope Olive films releases "DR. Terror's House Of Horrors"(1965) which was just taken off YouTube again(a sign of an imminent release?)

"Blood Beach"(1980) & "Nightmares(1983), along with the TV series "Darkroom"(1981) would be welcome(Scream Factory is the best bet there.)

"Dark Night Of The Scarecrow"(1981) was an excellent TV film, worthy of a theatrical run.

Darkroom! Jmes Colburn. I remember never missing it. But now the only episode I can remember was with the toy soldiers killing the mean father in the garage. That idea was redone for the Masters of Science Fiction series a few years ago. Mafia hit man gets a box of toy soldiers in the mail. The torment him in his luxury high rise apartment.

It wasn't nearly as good though.

Just got my copy on Bluray last night and I saw it right away.
Wow, finally on 16:9 and can see more details.
If you are a big fan of this movie you'll enjoy it from beginning to end on bluray.
No extras, just the movie.

I got the Olive DVD for fifteen bucks from a dealer at the April, 2016 Chiller Con in Parsippany, New Jersey.

I've been chasing grace/ But grace ain't easy to find

reply

Hi Woody.
Is there, or isn't there a commentary?

reply

Alas, it's a no-frills disc. Just the movie and nothing else. Not even a trailer.
