Godsend's conclusion

I had recieved a copy of the book as a gift years ago, and when I had gotten to the ending, it was ripped out. Could someone please tell me the ending to the book? Thanks!

Bonnie pushes Lucy out a window to her death. The dad tries to kill Bonnie but she is so strong she doesn't die. Bonnie is taken into care by authorities. At the very end, Bonnie shows up at the Marlowes door and Mrs. Marlowe embraces Bonnie while Mr. Marlowe is horrified.

Thank you very much:)!

I only have seen the movie and that was years ago. Does the movie end the exact same way? I know Bonnie pushes Lucy out of the window, but I don't recall what happens after that.

***SPOILER***

The movie ends pretty much the same way - Bonnie pushes Lucy out the window and all. I think Bonnie kills the mother... Then you see the pregnant lady in the park again walking away with another unsuspecting family while the father looks on in terror. He yells to them to warn them, but isn't quick enough.

Bonnie pushes the last surviving child, Lucy, out of the window to her death. The husband tries to persuade the wife that Bonnie is evil and murdered all their children but, the mother refuses to believe that Bonnie is responsible for any of the children's deaths and turns against the husband instead.

The husband later sees Bonnie's mother, pregnant again, with another family in a nearby park. Bonnie's mother sees the husband and, quickly flees with the new family before he can catch them to warn them. The husband chases after the mother and the other family but loses them. The last shot is a close-up of the husband's face contorted with anguish, grief, rage, impotent frustration and tragic resignation (LOL: well, that was probably how the scene was WRITTEN anyway - unfortunately, due to the poor performance of the actor portraying the husband, the last shot just shows the husband standing by the park pond with a blank, slightly annoyed expression)

IMO, the book's ending was FAR more chilling.

***SPOILER*** (Maybe)

I thought the father left Bonnie on a rock out in the water while the tide was coming in and I guess she drowns. I do seem to remember something about the father seeing the pregnat woman again in a park with another family at the very end. I recall it being a very creepy movie, I'm surprised it scores so low on here.

reply

Yeah the pregnant woman was really creepy
