Certain parts of the world still effectively be in the stone age? I do not get how some parts of this world can have access to so much advanced technology and science yet other parts can be in the STONE AGE. I can see SOME variation across the planet in tech and science, I know the computer I am using right now is not as tech advanced as the ones NASA uses for example, and my car is from the 1980s and has no GPS.

But STONE AGE, I do not get how in today's world the technology difference can be that extreme. Hell even Amish technology that is probably equivalent to 1850 would be more hi tech than stone age, and the Amish still have access to tech if they need it, like to take a sick person to the hospital for example.

When the manned Mars mission happens sometime in the future will we still have pockets of the stone age? It just seems very odd to me that parts of the Earth are still in the stone age.

Because people can do what they want, as is their right. If they prefer a certain life style, why shouldn't they have the right to live it and enjoy life? Just because life may be easier with indoor plumbing and WiFi, doesn't mean that's what everyone wants.

At least N!xau didn't have to go into debt paying a 500k mortgage and drive his kids and three wives to soccer game practice all the time.
