I saw this movie in a theater, early eighties

I was in elementary school in the early eighties, from 3rd grade on. There was a Japanese-animated program that was broadcast on one of the local (near Seattle) stations--it would come on at 6:30 AM before school--it was called Starblazers. Something about a group of people trying to get back to a homeland or a sanctuary. The show was popular among the grade-school boys. Then I remember going with my brother to the theater to see GALAXY EXPRESS. I do not remember much about it except the old-style steam-train spaceship. Is this the movie where the people are looking for ISKANDAR, or is that Starblazers?

"And my father dwelt in a tent."

reply

No. Iskandar is not in Galaxy Express.
