always wanted to see this this.does anyone know where i could find it

turn me into a bird so i can fly away from here- Forrest Gump

reply

Yes, you can order it from Blockbuster Online.

I did.

It was a wierd movie, not exactly what I expected, but left a lasting impression on me. It was a little bit depressing even.

I'm glad to see there are others who care enough to post on this neglected board. Macabre is great stuff, even if it crawls at a snail's pace. I found it much more shocking and emotional than Nekromantik, and it's at least on par with Nekromantik 2.

Half.com is a good place to look, i think. I haven't seen A Blade In The Dark [ A giallo by Michele Soavi ] yet, but that film and Macabre are also available as a 'double feature' DVD, and for cheap!

I watched this film for the first time a few days ago, (I purchased the Anchor Bay double feature dvd).. I also felt that this movie had a very depressing tone.

I felt drained after watching it.. I know that sounds funny, but I really felt a bit 'blah' afterwards.

Great film though, dark, sickening.. morbid and interesting. Good stuff.

Looks as if Blue Underground is coming out with a US release the end of April 2007, and it will be for sale on the Amazon website.

Blue Underground has taken over the release of the film and is now available for sale.

Which version is better? Anchor Bay or Blue Underground?

reply

I would say you might as well go with the Anchor Bay release because you get Blade in the Dark for a free bonus. Typically Blue Underground releases that were originally done by Anchor Bay are the exact same transfer. I've noticed that with a few other old Italian Anchor Bay flicks - they must have some sort of deal together.

reply

I already have the Anchor Bay one.

Try Netflix.com that's how I saw it. It came in the mail the next day! Pretty weird movie too!

I bought the Anchor Bay dvd used for $6.99. Can't beat that price! It's a slow film but it's kinda creepy.

reply

No doubt the Anchor bay release is the much better deal. At $6.99 (the price I also got it for) you get two movies for the price of one (Macabre/Blade in the Dark)with all the same features that are currently being offered by Blue-underground. The same goes for Hell of the living dead and Rats: Night of Terror which also had a dual disc release by Anchor.

reply

yeah i was thinking of trading in for that.
