There's a condensed version of this documentary in our music textbook series that I show to fifth grade students every year. It's been a long time since I've seen the complete documentary on PBS. I want to know if the uncut version is still appropriate for this age level.
shareWell. I've seen it one year ago. I can't remember anything inside this documentary is inappropriate to kids from elemental school.
shareI can't imagine that there's anything that would be considered inappropriate, though they might not understand a lot of the background related to the Cultural Revolution. Many of the students performing or being tutored by Stern are children, so they can easily identify with them on that level.
