Some of the worst acting I've ever seen.

They don't look like teens and they don't even act like them either. This is so cheesy by today's standards.

Because people see Horror movies for good acting. Think I will go watch As good as it gets for its scenes of violence and explosions.

LOL!

I just watched this again last night, I don't remember any mention of them being teenagers. They are the camp employees, getting things ready for summer. They appear to be college age and the ages of the young cast were between 19-25. And while the acting was amateur, it does at least feel genuine. There are no 90# jiu jitsu girls roundhouse kicking people through walls or other common stereotypes, they are just a bunch of average young people who like to have fun.

There wasn't anything wrong with the acting. In fact, it was surprisingly good for a low-budget movie. It even had two excellent, highly memorable characters: Crazy Ralph (Walt Gorney) and Pamela Voorhees (Betsy Palmer). The only acting that was somewhat dubious was from the girl who played Annie (Robbi Morgan).

Yah, I don't think acting was too bad. Annie actress overacting and talking about her "dream" is kind of annoying but she was a good opening victim in modern Crystal Lake.

Wow, a movie from 1980 doesn't look like it was made this morning. Wow! What a crime!

reply

It was more of an observation, than a criticism.

Adrienne's bad acting stands out the most but that's what makes these movies fun.

reply

For an old school slasher the acting was decent enough

reply

I should watch this again - it has been 38 years.

Who said they were supposed to be teenagers? All camp counsellors are usually adults...
