What is with these Friday The 13th unofficial sequels

Friday the 13th Part X: To Hell and Back (1995)
Friday the 13th: The Obsession (2011)
Friday the 13th: No Man's Land (2010)
Friday the 13th: Return of Jason (2011)
Friday the 13th: The Curse of Jason (2014)

Since when is it allowed to film Friday films without the consent from Sean Cunningham or not given written credit to Victor Miller...

Is this the new 2000's fad, stealing people ideals & hard work & no repercussion - I don't mind a student filmmaker who boroughs an ideal for film school only, but these filmmakers makes money off other people's work & ideal without permission & IMDB allows it to be listed...

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. If you've ever tried to watch one of these they are so terribly produced (despite what some may say and think) that it's hard to even sit through them. It reminds me of the old SNL skits where Chris Kattan and Molly Shannon were the "goth kids" who would go out and try to make "scary movies" in the woods on their handheld camcorders in the middle of the day. So there were like 7 trees and it was sunny. Not scary at all. lol
Anyway, these fan-made movies are completely painful to watch, and I'm sure the F13th studios could care less. lol

Oh, and one more thing...you just read my signature.

They're fan films made for no profit, so it's legal. They're made by the fans for the fans

I wish they wouldn't be listed here on IMDb. Sometimes I think I see the title for a promising new Jason film that follows the originals and has a great story only to find that it's just some fan film. Pretty sad though how the fans can come up with a better idea for a movie than Hollywood, which just craps out more and more stupid remakes. Too bad the fans don't also have the budget for it.
