What is going through Steve's mind the last 10 seconds of his life?

Alright, he walks back to the camp and sees a flashlight shine on him. He wonders who it is. Then he realizes who it is and is relaxed and walks towards them. By now the viewer is wondering who the heck it is. Enos? Ralph? Or Bill even? All of them would know him and he'd know them.

Either way, he is trusting of this old friend and as he gets closer a knife goes into his chest or stomach. His stunned look is part of the legend of this movie I think.

So what is he thinking? He's probably wondering why the heck Pamela is out in "this mess." But the last thing he is thinking is that she'll kill him. He probably thinks she is just there for a visit. Then he gets stabbed and he has a brief second to wonder why. What do you think he may of been thinking as to why or how she would stab him?

Maybe "why"?

The novelization says he realized at that moment who all had done all the things in the past at the camp and that he's thinking of the staff and what's going to happen to them.

I would find it hard to believe that he would have the chance or concentration to even think of anyything but the pain and wtf did she dc that for.

Probably "Mrs. Voorhees! What the heck are you doing here?" And then all the sudden she stabs him out of nowhere. Then as he was dying he would probably wonder why it was happening. He'd never get his answer, though.

Anyway, there is no health insurance on the lake. Pamela has no time for HMO's, and cannot be bothered with the inconvenience!
