Crazy Ralph appreciation thread!

I had to create this thread dedicated to one of the most beloved minor characters in horror films old crazy Ralph. Anyone has memories of Crazy Ralph, I always smile seeing Crazy Ralph ride off in his blue bicycle.

Ralph is an entertaining side character and I'm glad the producers were aware of this enough to include him in two of the sequels.

I always enjoy seeing him (and his bicycle) once again return for Part II as well as for the opening of Part VII...narrating from beyond the grave and still sounding crazy as ever!

reply

I liked that Narration on part VII he had such a good for that.

He is an entertaining character, kind of sad he died in Part II

He should have died in the Final Chapter...

Always remember...Don't be a sucker.

reply

Jason should have NEVER killer crazy Ralph. Period.

reply

Ralph should have learned to heed his own advice.

reply

Or have Crazy Ralph kill Jason, ''I told the others, now they will believe me''

Always remember...Don't be a sucker.

as well as for the opening of Part VII...narrating from beyond the grave and still sounding crazy as ever!
That sounds nothing like Walt Gorney. Is there any evidence that was him aside from his IMDb page and other unofficial sources saying so? Sounds like a fan theory to me.

I don't dance, tell jokes or wear my pants too tight, but I do know about a thousand songs.

reply

Part VII director John Carl Buechler says that the narrator is Stacy Keach Sr., not Walt Gorney.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

reply

He is pretty cool, ha ha. Those know-all kids should've listened to old Ralph!

reply

As someone who's always loved slasher films, I realize it's silly to ask too many questions or raise too many issues. This is supposed to be mindless dumb fun, after all. Still, I find it odd that Ralph, who's supposedly so bent on warning the counselors they're doomed, decides to hide out in a pantry until someone decides to walk in on him. You'd think he'd approach them as soon as possible, not just for their sake but for his own sake. He'd bicycled all the way out to the camp, after all, which meant he was just as much at risk. I mean yeah, I suppose the filmmakers were trying to mislead viewers into thinking he was the killer, but still.

reply

Crazy Ralph for President!

reply

He deserves one. Such a hoot. A creep but a hoot. The deputy deserves one as well.

reply

Such a wonderful character. "You're doomed. You're all doomed."

I tell you who should have an appreciation thread - Crazy Ralph's wife. When the cop told Steve Christy that Ralph had a wife I nearly fell out of my chair. Can you imagine being married to Crazy Ralph?? I bet he came with a set of rules like Gremlins - "Don't Feed him whisky after midnight". In the end I bet she got so sick of him stalking the camp spouting prophetic warnings she hired someone to steal his bike. I wish someone had shot a Friday spin off called 'My Doomed Life With Ralph'.

reply

LOL! that part had me in stiches. the dude's married ?! biggest twist

reply

Now thats the real story right there...
Michael Kramer as Crazy Ralph...Costanza's mom as Mrs Crazy Ralph..?
