As a serious Jason Voorhees fan I want to rank the films as I see them. What do you think? Also, what is your favorite Jason screen death? Mine is from "The Final Chapter" when Horshack from "Welcome Back Kotter" has his heart punched out, then falls into a coffin. OMG is that a CLASSIC!!

1) The Final Chapter (Part 4)
2) Jason Lives (Part 6)
3) A New Beginning (Part 5)
4) The New Blood (Part 7)
5) Part 3 (in 3-D Lol!)
6) Friday the 13th
7) Part 2
8) Jason Takes Manhattan

Did not rank the New Line Cinema trio. But if I did, it would be:

I'll admit, my list is subject to change from time to time. For instance, when I was a kid, Part 3 was my favorite and I found Part 2 pretty lackluster. And until a few years ago, I outright disliked Part 5. But at this moment, my list is as follows:

1. Final Chapter
2. Original
3. 2
4. Jason Lives
5. 3D
6. New Beginning
7. New Blood (This has got to be the coolest looking Jason, especially when the mask comes off!)
8. Remake
9. Jason Takes Manhattan
10. FvsJ
11. X
12. Jason Goes To Hell

Honestly, I could probably rearrange the bottom five in any particular order, because I find them interchangeably underwhelming.

Favorite Kill: Sleeping bag meets tree!

And from one big Friday fan to another, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out the your favorite kill is from Jason Lives, not Final Chapter. Not trying to be a d!ck, just being a geek.

Wow, These are interesting. I don't think i've ever seen a list that has Part 8 in their top 5. Along with 7 too.

Owlfy. what makes you like those more than 4 and 6?

7 - I really enjoyed the telekinesis plot and Lar Park-Lincoln as Tina. It was a slightly different tale compared to some of the others and it stood out.

8 - Was a complete blast. It was cheesy, humorous, and Jason's mannerisms were amusing. It's like a fun road-trip film only on water.

Owlfy. what makes you like those more than 4 and 6?

4 - A huge disappointment after the excellent 2 and 3. I found it boring and Corey Feldman was obnoxiously bad. The ending with him saying "die, die, die" while hacking away at Jason was ridiculous.

6 - I felt Tommy Jarvis wasn't an interesting enough character to bring back AGAIN. I gave it a 6 only because of the awesome ending with Tommy pouring fuel in the water and battling Jason.
