I looked through Pt 1. Really enjoyed it. That camp should be preserved if it's ever in danger.

Thanks. I hope to get on the super rare tour of the camp they occasionally give at some point. There would've been one this month but there was a private event at the camp that day.

That would be awesome. The cabins are still intact I believe?

reply

Yes, I believe so.

No problem. Glad you like the pics.

Great pics very cool. i'm surprised to learn that it was filmed only 25 miles or so west of New York City. When you watch the film it really feels like they're way out in the middle of nowhere in the woods of Wisconsin or something.

Thanks, Hippie. It was a long time before I noticed the Hope NJ sign above the cemetery. I figured Part 2 was filmed in NJ too cause of Jeff's license plate. Not sure what made them choose CT.

Wonderful pics. It's fascinating to see what these locations look like today in comparison to how they looked in the films. Time really does change all things, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing.😉

Centipede, your blog is awesome! This is my favorite time period for movies (and the 70's too), so I love a lot of the films on this list. I really and truly appreciate how much time and energy you've clearly expended to accomplish all of this.

Thanks! That means a lot! It's nice to read comments like that. Makes it worthwhile. I still have a long list to get to. Just need to find the time and to get away and see them.
