Song question

There's no music at the time that she dies -- but later, at the wedding, when Jodie Foster's character leaves, the song in the background, and played throughout much of the film, is Donna Summer's "On the Radio."

Growing up in the late 70s, I heard Donna Summer's "On the Radio" many, many times. It wasn't until after seeing this film that I never heard the song quite the same way again. I always hear it now as kind of sweet, and poignant, almost a longing.
