Okay I liked this movie but the only thing that bothered me was the 16 year old getting married to the 30 something dude. It just seemed so unrealistic it would have been more realistic if when he was confronting her about messing up the house that she was a stupid teen and he never meant to have a serious relationship. After their confrontation I figured the relationship was over-then boom the wedding scene...no.
shareI really liked the movie too, but she was NOT 16 when they got married. She was already graduated from high school. Remember?....immediately after the wedding, Jodie Foster is going to Annie's grave and her mother asks if she wants her to go with her.....Jodie says, "I don't want to tell you no." The mom says, "You are leaving for college, the least we can do is be honest with each other." That means time has passed since Annie's death, it is 2 years later, and the girls are all graduated high school and are at least 18 years old.
