This film is gorgeous.

I've been a fan of Adrian Lyne since his Lolita (1997) - it was a masterpiece, beautiful, haunting. I was surprised to read that he had directed Foxes when I saw his name in the credits. I love Jodie Foster, so I was thrilled to see one of my favourite directors paired with one of my favourite actresses.

I have fallen in love with this movie. It's so engaging and entertaining. The girls are wonderful and you're attracted immediately, they did a terrific job. I just want to say that this is an amazing gem of a film and has now become one of my favourites.

By the way, I was happy to see Deidre wearing a white pair of Lolita sunglasses in one scene. I thought it was adorable - and interesting of Lyne to reference it. I like how he uses the sexuality and sass of charming young girls (like Foster was, and Dominique Swain) in such an artistic way. Awesome.

I just watched it for the first time in about 15 years, and definitely since seeing other Adrian Lyne films. It does have the same look as movies like "Flashdance" and "9 1/2 Weeks", with his use of lighting and a bit of smokiness.

It definitely desreves to be taught in film schools.A big lesson of how to make a film serious and humorous at the same time.
